On January 24, the 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞 Association was established in Bari with the aim of supporting the creation of a new natural park to protect and enhance the ancient riverbeds of Apulia.
In addition to the President, Eng. Pasquale Guastamacchia, and the Vice President, Prof. Maria Teresa Fatone, the association brings together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts dedicated to the local territory and natural environment.
Through nature trails, cycling routes, educational workshops, and ecotourism activities, the Balice, Lamasinata, Villa Lamberti, Picone, Fitta, Valenzano, San Marco, San Giorgio, and Giotta riverbeds will become spaces to explore and enjoy, promoting a form of slow, conscious, and sustainable tourism.
In this interview with Corriere del Mezzogiorno, Pasquale Guastamacchia shares his passion for the environment and explains the importance of restoring public access to these areas—both to return memory and identity to local communities and to create new tourism opportunities.
